sherrill in the all-star game? what a joke. not as bad as varitek, wilson, and the six relievers for the AL (over guys like beckett, sabathia, danks?)

fantasy analysis on Sherrill.
Sherrill, acquired from Seattle with outfielder Adam Jones and three minor league pitchers in return for Bedard, is on pace to challenge the Orioles' single-season saves record. The former left-handed specialist has saved 27 games in 32 opportunities, pitching to a 3.72 ERA in 41 appearances. He's on pace for 51 saves, which would break the previous club record of 45, set by Randy Myers in 1997. The Orioles will likely win a lot of close games the rest of the way in 2008 and Sherrill should remain at worst a No. 2 Fantasy RP.

wow! 27 saves! that means he must be good! brain wilson has pitched horribly and he has 24 saves! saves are a useless number. capps and rauch have far better numbers and they play on crappier teams. those guys would be more deserving of a bid than sherrill, shit, huston street would to. sherrill has walked 22 guys in 39 inn, a horrible number. his whip is also pretty bad. good reliver, not all-star worthy. i really dont believe that six relievers should be in the all-star game, two or three at the most are good.
